　　With rapid spreading of western cultures, there is a growing number of Chinese people prefer western holidays to traditional ones. When Christmas or Valentine Day comes, youngsters flood into bars, restaurants, or department stores to celebrate these festivals, while they know little about Chinese traditional festivals.

　　The reason behind such kind social phenomenon is obvious: in a society dominated by mass media and consumerism, festivals and holidays from abroad are labeled as fashionable, new and unique, while traditional ones are something out of date and old. 　　The most unforgettable thing this year is the Lantern Festival, the weather is not very good, but the streets are crowded with people, the streets are hung with colorful lanterns, it is really beautiful.

　　I went to zhongshan park with my father, mother, sister and brother. The gate of zhongshan park was decorated with colorful lights and other materials under the skillful hands of uncles and aunts. There are hundreds of red lanterns hanging on the gate, just like the red sun, with a smile, welcoming each friend's arrival. We went to zhongshan park with the crowd, and the colored lights were better. I see a "beautiful castle", which represents the beautiful motherland. On the other lights, uncles and aunts made small pieces of colored paper and other materials, and friends danced beautiful dances there. It really dazzled me.

　　Today, is the traditional Chinese festival - Lantern Festival. Eating yuanxiao, the meaning of the lanterns is tuan tuan yuan yuan, harmony and beauty. After dinner, my mother and I went to the square to see the lantern show.

　　Come to the square, ho, people many ah, really lively! These lights are vivid and lifelike, with 12 zodiac lanterns, corn lights, jack-o-lanterns, lotus lanterns, lei yue lanterns... It's beautiful. There was a lamp that impressed me the most, it was the moon, and there were some lovely twinkling stars.
